Pornstar Martini

The Champagne is meant to cleanse your palate as you are drinking the cocktail. Do not mix it into the drink!

Per the drink’s creator, this recipe should be served with a teaspoon so that you can eat the passionfruit before drinking the cocktail.

Feel free to use regular vodka if you don’t have a vanilla version handy. Likewise, you can replace the vanilla sugar with vanilla syrup (15ml / ½ oz).

If you have fresh passionfruit, you can make your own purée. It's as simple as separating the flesh from the seeds!

While passionfruit purée isn't exactly the same as passionfruit pulp (the latter includes the seeds), feel free to use it as a replacement in a pinch!

Originally called a Maverick Martini after a gentleman’s club that Ankrah frequented in Cape Town, South Africa.

The “Martini” part of the name is a nod to drinks from decades prior which all used oversized martini glasses.

As for the first part of the name, Ankrah sometimes said he thought it was what a pornstar would order, or that he was inspired by the smell of a stripper’s perfume.
