Ingredients

  • 30ml Jamaican rum
  • 30ml fernet
  • 60ml pineapple juice
  • 30ml lime juice
  • 30ml simple syrup

Garnish

Mint sprig

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice.

  2. Shake until chilled.

  3. Strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice.

  4. Garnish with a mint sprig.

Hints

  1. Jamaican rum is called for in this drink because its funky flavors will stand up next to the other loud ingredients in this cocktail. Other rums we’ve tried are lost to both the Fernet and the pineapple. 

  2. Remember to “spank” the mint to release its essential oils. Place your straw next to the mint bouquet garnish in order to direct the drinker’s nose to it.
