Ingredients

  • 2 thin cucumber slices
  • 22.5ml bourbon
  • 22.5ml Aperol
  • 22.5ml elderflower liqueur
  • 22.5ml lemon juice

Garnish

Cucumber skewer

Instructions

  1. Add the cucumber to a shaker and muddle.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients.

  3. Add ice, and shake until chilled.

  4. Double strain into a coupe.

  5. Garnish with a cucumber skewer.

Trivia

  1. Created by Jean-Félix Desfosses (Truffles on the Rocks, on YouTube) for the World Class Bartender competition in 2016.

  2. At the National Finals, one of the challenges consisted of a speed round. Desfosses themed his speed round around Jimi Hendrix, basing all his cocktails around a particular song.

  3. The Little Wing is a riff on a Paper Plane, which uses elderflower liqueur and cucumber instead of amaro in order to make it brighter and lighter.
