Ingredients

  • 30ml tequila blanco or mezcal
  • 30ml Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur
  • 30ml grapefruit juice
  • 5ml agave syrup
  • club soda, for topping off

Salt rim and grapefruit wedge

Instructions

  1. Add the tequila, coffee liqueur and grapefruit juice to a shaker with ice.

  2. Shake until chilled.

  3. Strain into a salt rimmed highball glass with ice.

  4. Top with club soda.

  5. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.

Hints

  1. You can also build this drink directly in the glass, without the need to shake. All the flavors will be a bit more intense, but it will still be a delicious drink.

  2. You can make this with either tequila or mezcal, or a mix of both!

  3. This drink was created around the use of Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur. If you decide to use other coffee liqueurs keep in mind that Mr. Black is lightly sweetened and very coffee forward.
